What Investors Actually Read in Your Deck
Allanzu Consulting
Twelve slides, four minutes, three questions. A candid look at how opportunity materials are really reviewed.
Investment materials are read in a specific order and rarely front to back. Reviewers look for the market, the mechanism by which the business captures value, and the credibility of the team — usually in that order and usually within four minutes.
Everything else in the deck exists to support a second conversation. Front-loading detail that belongs in diligence is the most common way to lose attention early.
Write the deck as an argument, not a description. Each slide should advance one claim, and every number on it should support that claim.
